  • La Jolla Christmas Parade

    We are confirmed for our Color Guard to march in this annual event again this year. We will update muster time as soon as the parade organizers have provided our muster location and time.

  • Wreaths Across America

    The annual laying of wreaths will occur and Miramar and Ft Rosecrans National Cemeteries and hopefully we can muster enough members to be at both events. We will post the details of our actions as soon as they are made public.

  • Save the Date!

    We are working with future member Richard Rovsek and his Spirit of Liberty Foundation on a big event on January 1, 2026. We expect great news coverage again and Richard is working on getting a national network to cover the event. We will start the beginning of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States with a massive cake with the Declaration of Independence printed on it! He is planning on starting the event in the 9-10am timeframe. More details to follow.

  • January Annual Business Meeting

    American Legion Post 460 7815 Armour St., San Diego, California

    If can only attend one meeting in 2027 please attend this one! At this meeting we present awards to members and guest for their service to our organization, review and discuss the current health of our organization and vote on new officers for 2027. We will post more details soon but we will meet again at the American Legion Post in the Linda Vista area.

  • George Washington Birthday Dinner

    We will hold our very popular George Washington Birthday Dinner at the Green Dragon in Carlsbad. Our speaker is professor Richard Blum of SDSU History Department and our Color Guard will preform the traditional 3 round musket volley to open the program. This is a black-tie or period uniform event however we also accept men in suits and ladies in non-casual clothing. Registration and meal selection will be posted in mid-January.

  • Annual Chapter Social

    Last year's gathering at this location went over very well so we decided to return. There are no reservations just enter the venue and walk to the back patio where you will find us gathered. The weather should be perfect and we are locate near the runway for Montgomery Airport so there will small planes landing and taking off. There are no speakers and no particular agenda, just setting aside time to spend with our members. The food is very good and you are free to order a dinner while there, there will be plenty of parking and seating. The address is 8885 Balboa Avenue, San Diego 92123

  • Massing of the Colors

    Balboa Park Organ Pavilion 2168 E Pan American Rd, San Diego, California

    The annual Massing of the Colors where Color Guard units from the area march the colors into the Organ Pavilion at Balboa Park.
