Dual Membership Process
The term “Dual” Membership refers to being accepted by more than one State Society. This means that when you apply for a Dual Membership you are applying to the California Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (CASSAR) as well as the San Diego Chapter. The San Diego Chapter will be happy to welcome you as will CASSAR. You will need to fill and and sign a “Dual Membership” form (link below) and you will also need to obtain a “Record Copy” from NSSAR if you do not have one. These two documents will need to be mailed along with dues payment of $55 which covers both CASSAR and the San Diego Chapter dues.
Follow the steps below:
Use this link to request your required NSSAR record copy: https://www.sar.org/request-a-record-copy/ The information will be emailed to you and you will need to print all of the pages and enclose with your Reinstatement form.
If you already have a valid “SAR Record Copy” you only need to make a photocopy. This is your complete and approved original SAR application with all signatures complete and your National and State SAR numbers posted near the top. You will need to enclose all pages.
Dual Membership Form: https://www.sarsandiego.org/wp-content/uploads/Dual-Membership-Application.pdf You will need to save this to your computer first (some computers will download the form to your “downloads” folder), then open it from your computer to fill in. Be sure and save it as you add information.
Once all information above is available and complete you will need to print a copy to sign, date and enclose with your NSSAR “Record Copy” and your check. Please make your check payable to “SDSAR”.
