SAR Membership Reinstatement
If your SAR membership has lapsed and you would like to be reinstated we will be happy to welcome you back. You will need to fill and and sign a “Reinstatement/Transfer” form (link below) and you will also need to obtain a “Record Copy” from NSSAR. These two documents will need to be mailed along with your annual dues payment of $120 which covers the local, state and national organizations.
Follow the steps below:
Use this link to request your required NSSAR record copy: https://www.sar.org/request-a-record-copy/ The information will be emailed to you and you will need to print all of the pages and enclose with your Reinstatement form.
If you already have a valid “SAR Record Copy” you only need to make a photocopy. This is your complete and approved original SAR application with all signatures complete and your National and State SAR number posted near the top. You will need to enclose both pages.
Reinstatement Form: https://www.sarsandiego.org/wp-content/uploads/Reinstatement-Transfer-Application.pdf You will need to save this to your computer first (some computers will download the form to your “downloads” folder), then open it from your computer to fill in. Be sure and save it as you add information.
Once all information above is available and complete you will need to print a copy to sign, date and enclose with your NSSAR “Record Copy” and your check. Please make your payable to “SDSAR”, . The mailing address will be displayed once you fill in the form below and click the Submit button.
