In 1990, Mimi Lozano founded Somos Primos, the editorial focus of which is to connect present day situations to their historical foundations.
In 1999, Mimi became a member of the Pepperdine University’s Hispanic Council of Orange County. She was served on the U.S. Senate Republican Conference Task Force on Hispanic Affairs (1997–2003), and has spoken as an invited guest by the U.S. Army at the Pentagon during the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Each issue of Somos Primos contains a variety of individual pages. One of the first major articles of interest to SAR was Spanish Patriots in the American Revolution written by Granville Hough, Ph.D., and H.C. Hough. Click here to view the article.
The March 2016 issue contains an article about the CASSAR 2015 Fall Meeting in Riverside, CA. The article about Early Latino Patriots may be viewed by clicking here.
