George Washington Birthday Dinner

Greetings Compatriots

The President of the San Diego Chapter of The Sons of the American Revolution cordially invites you to attend a Dinner in honor of
His Excellency General George Washington’s 293nd Birthday
on 22 February 2025 AD At the Green Dragon Tavern & Museum located in Carlsbad, CA.

This will be a Black-Tie optional or period dress affair however Compatriots
in business suits are welcome and ladies are welcome in period or evening attire.

The doors opening at 4:30 PM for check in and our official program starts
outside at 5:30 with a military parade and musket volley.

This event does not require membership in SAR or DAR to attend.

The address is: 6115 Paseo Del Norte, Carlsbad, CA 92011. While there you may want to tour the Green Dragon Museum which houses a collection of Revolutionary War era original documents (and reproductions) along with period artifacts.

$100 per person.
food choice after the 12th will be subject to availability.
Signup ends at noon on Friday February 21.

Our honored guest will the President of the California Society of the Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, Don Littlefield.

President Littlefield presided over our very successful Patriot Grave Marking ceremonies last year.  He will present the Patriot Grave Marking Medal to over 40 SAR members that actively participated in those ceremonies.

Our keynote speaker will be Patrick Martin who reenacts the personage of William (Bille) Lee, the servant of General George Washington during the revolutionary war.  Patrick’s presentations are known to be excellent and we are looking forward to his presentation.

 

Dinner Menu

Starter – New England Clam Chowder, littleneck clams, applewood smoked bacon, red bliss potatoes.

ENTRÉE OPTIONS

  Oven Roasted Salmon, whole grain mustard & brown sugar crust, orange basis relish, asparagus, roasted
         fingerling potatoes.
  Classic Beef Bourguignon, tender beef tips braised in a rich red wine sauce with button mushrooms, pearl
         onions, carrots and papardelle.

Dessert – Crème Brulee, seasonal fruit, turbinado sugar
