July 4th Weekend

July 5, 2024

July 4th started off with a bang for our Chapter as our lead Color Guard marched in the popular Coronado Paraded and our second Color Guard participated in the Spirit of Liberty Foundation’s ceremony in Balboa Park.  Members also were at the House of Spain for our 15th year to inform and educate on Spain’s role in the Revolutionary War.

The Coronado Parade is one of the best July 4th celebrations in the nation.  The Spirit of Liberty Foundation program included 103 year old, D-Day veteran Max Gurney.

From the left- Coronado parade participants, Duncan Campbell, Peter Fagen and Andrew Fagen followed by Carolyn Campbell and unidentified DAR participants.
