Members of the San Diego Chapter and Compatriots from CASSAR joined to celebrate the San Diego’s Chapters 130th Anniversary at the home of Peter and Sarah Fagen. The San Diego Chapter was formed on July 4th 1894 and has been in continuous operation since then.
This was not a formal meeting rather a social gathering of our members although we did include an America250 Minute presentation. The Fagen’s hosted a similar gathering last year and it was a real hit so we are very pleased they elected to do it again this year. They put out quite a brunch spread!
The San Diego Chapter has activities planned for three full days of the July 4th weekend beginning with our Color Guard marching the Coronado parade, another Color Guard participating in a program with the Spirit of Liberty Foundation in front of the Air & Space Museum before returning to the House of Spain to man an outdoor display. On Saturday and Sunday SDSAR will host an information booth in front of the House of USA and support a program they will present at the lawn stage in the “cottages” area.
