We added three new fully qualified musket team members for our Chapter Saturday. Qualification requires successful completion of the NRA Muzzle Loading (Black Powder) training course and practice firing. It’s an all day course with about 5-6 hours classroom time followed by two hours of hands on loading, firing and cleaning.
Chapter members that completed the course were Alan Winters and Jim McAdory and prospective member Tyler Jones. The cold and rain kept a few more away. Our Color Guard Commander, Duncan Campbell provided the hands on instructions for using our muskets.
