The Pendleton Fund is money that has been set aside for the purpose of investing and using the earnings to provide an ongoing source to fund our Youth Programs. This is a long term effort and money donated to this fund will be held until the fund balance can be used to invest in safe interest bearing investments. It is the aim of this fund to someday be able to fully fund our Youth Programs which today can run over $2,000 each year. If we reach a point where the returns on the fund exceed the need of the defined programs the remainder could then be applied to other Chapter needs.
Once the fund reaches the $1,000 mark we will then invest and add to the investment any interest earned until the investment yield enough to cover 50% of our Youth Program expenses.
We named this after Major General (USMC) Joseph H. Pendleton who was our Chapters 18th President and served two terms in 1929 and 1930.
Our Donation page has been updated with this fund as a selection.
