Dear Compatriots and Sponsors,
Thank you for supporting the San Diego Sons of the American Revolution (SDSAR) by sponsoring a wreath for the 2022 Wreaths Across America Campaign! Thanks to your generosity, our Chapter was able to place 670 wreaths on the graves of our fallen veterans; further, our volunteers assisted in wreath laying ceremonies across several states, allowing the mission of “Remember, Honor, Teach” to stand strong.
Today, I am reaching out to ask for your support again in 2023. Wreath laying day will take place on December 16th, and we are supporting three national cemeteries this year: Miramar National Cemetery (San Diego, CA), Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery (San Diego, CA), and Coastal State Veterans Cemetery (Jacksonville, NC). We are also able to coordinate wreath sponsorships at many national cemeteries across the country and world, so please feel free to reach out regarding how to sponsor a wreath for a loved one, friend, or fellow soldier if you do not see the cemetery listed on our sponsorship page.
SDSAR is hoping to bring in 1,000 wreath sponsorships this season! Due to the state of the economy and the price of wreaths increasing to $17.00 per wreath, we need your help more than ever. Please consider reaching out to friends, businesses, fellow non-profits, and your own company to request support for the Wreaths Across America mission this year. The due date for all wreath sponsorships is: November 30, 2023; any wreaths sponsored after this date will count toward the 2024 campaign. All wreaths can be sponsored in one of two ways:
- Directly through our Wreaths Across America landing page (select the “Sponsor Wreaths” button in red): https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/46125/Overview/?relatedId=15520&modSw=donate
- By contacting Kristine Reardon, SDSAR Wreaths Across America Sponsorship Coordinator directly at:
- Email: kareardon16@gmail.com
- Cell Phone: (858) 663-4154
If you would like to volunteer to lay wreaths this year, please use the following web address and select the “Volunteer” button in white on the landing page:
I want to thank you in advance for your continued support in this crucial campaign to remember our fallen veterans, honor those who serve, and teach our children the value of freedom! Without you, the mission of Wreaths Across America would be lost; we believe that our veterans die twice: once when they take their last breath on this earth and again when their name is no longer spoken and their memory dies. Help us keep our veterans’ memories alive! I hope to see you December 16th.
Kristine Reardon
