It’s been a long time since we last had a purely social gathering but that dry spell ended on Saturday, June 24th when our President, Peter Fagen and his wife Sarah, hosted a brunch followed by grilled hot dogs for our members and guests. We had perfect weather for the outdoor gathering for the 30 people that attended.
In addition to plenty of great food we were treated to a performance by our Compatriot Skip Cox of a portion of his Johnny Cash tribute show. In showman fashion Skip became the “man in black” and came through with a great performance.
We took the opportunity for those with the Family Tree app setup on their phone to make a connections to distant cousins in our Chapter. It’s remarkable how many of our members find common family connections.
We also had an America 250 presentation by Peter Fagen and Sarah Fagen was presented with the Bronze Certificate & Medal of Appreciation for her support and service to our Chapter.
There was a general agreement that a gathering such as this would be a great addition to next years activities.
