The San Diego Chapter was recognized for our outstanding Wreaths Across America program. Our chapter led in this program by a wide margin and there was an audible gasp when our total income from this program was announced. We had number of chapters talk with us about our approach and we have followed up on specific requests for more details. Our success is built upon the work of our late Compatriot, Larry Hardin, and carried on by his daughter Kristine Reardon who is our current WAA coordinator.

At the April 15th meeting San Diego Chapter members received several awards. Duncan Campbell was awarded the Silver Roger Sherman award for his service and support for SAR chapter’s Color Guard activities. Duncan is a tireless organizer and participant in our Chapters and he carries that level of effort to other Chapters as well.

The new CASSAR Chancellor is our current Membership VP and Chaplin (and past President) Michael Hirman (center).

Three Chapter members received the Silver America 250 award, Jim McAdory, Peter Fagen and Andrew Fagen. Peter Fagen also received the Gold America 250 award.
