April Meeting Highlights

May 2, 2022

Duncan Campbell provided another “America 250 20 Minute” presentation on the Battle of Fort Ticonderoga which was the first offensive victory for American forces in the Revolutionary War. It secured the strategic passageway north to Canada and netted the patriots an important cache of artillery. As with Duncan’s prior presentations, was excellent.

We can look forward to another presentation at a future meeting that will be both informative and entertaining.

We also enjoyed a “250 Minute” presentation by our 1st Vice President, Peter Fagen.  His short presentation included a reading of Thomas Paine’s The American Crisis. This presentation was the first of a three-part reading of what was read aloud to General Washington’s troops before crossing the Delaware.

Our 1st Vice President, Peter Fagen, is working on new meeting locations for our meetings. Locations that are “in the works” are; The Star of India, USS Midway, San Diego Presidio as well as potential for North County location(s).
