Andrew Fagen awarded the Bronze Color Guard Medal at March Meeting

March 20, 2022

Figure 1.  L to R, Michael Hirman Chapter President, Andrew Fagen and Peter Fagen

Compatriot Andrew Fagen was awarded the Bronze Color Guard Medal and is well on his way to earning the Silver Color Guard medal.

Figure 2- Compatriot Duncan Campbell’s presentation on the Battle of Bunker Hill

Members and guests enjoyed an informative and entertaining Chapter meeting at Mimi’s in Mission Valley on Saturday, March 19, 2022.  Color Guard Commander, Duncan Hunter, gave another America 250 presentation with this month’s subject being the Battle of Bunker Hill.  His presentation is brought to live with maps, including animated maps, that show the distribution and alignment of forces.  We look forward to more of these in the future.

Figure 3-Captain Daniel Chatham of CAP

Captain Daniel Chatham of our local Civil Air Patrol gave an excellent presentations on the history and current activities of the CAP.

We would like to welcome our newest member Gianni Campbell.  We hope to meet you at a future meeting.

We have had a lot of interest recently about the reinstatement process for former members.  It is a pretty simple process that only requires completing a Reinstatement/Transfer form and requesting a member “Record Copy” from NSSAR to go with the form.  The information, form and link for the NSSAR can be found on our website under the “What We Do” menu option then select the “Members Area” option.

We are working on a number of exciting events for our Chapter this year and invite those interested the SAR to join us.  We welcome anyone that is considering joining SAR to join us at a monthly meeting and past members that are no longer active are always welcome as well.
