Held at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery\, the ceremony honors the sailors who lost their lives in the tragic boiler explosion aboard the USS Bennington on July 21\, 1905\, while the ship was anchored in San Diego Bay. \n\n\n\nThe program includes: \n\n\n\n\nWreath-laying ceremony\n\n\n\nGuest speaker presentation\n\n\n\nRevolutionary War-style musket firing salute\n\n\n\nGrave decoration and remembrance activities\n\n\n\n\nThis solemn and meaningful event serves as an opportunity to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

DESCRIPTION:Last year’s gathering at this location went over very well so we decided to return.  There are no reservations just enter the venue and walk to the back patio where you will find us gathered.  The weather should be perfect and we are locate near the runway for Montgomery Airport so there will small planes landing and taking off.  There are no speakers and no particular agenda\, just setting aside time to spend with our members.  The food is very good and you are free to order a dinner while there\, there will be plenty of parking and seating. \n\n\n\nThe address is 8885 Balboa Avenue\, San Diego 92123
