Held at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery\, the ceremony honors the sailors who lost their lives in the tragic boiler explosion aboard the USS Bennington on July 21\, 1905\, while the ship was anchored in San Diego Bay. \n\n\n\nThe program includes: \n\n\n\n\nWreath-laying ceremony\n\n\n\nGuest speaker presentation\n\n\n\nRevolutionary War-style musket firing salute\n\n\n\nGrave decoration and remembrance activities\n\n\n\n\nThis solemn and meaningful event serves as an opportunity to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
