The California Society, San Diego Chapter and members from around the state are supporting the celebration and unveiling of a monument to recognize the actions of the Continental Marines on March 3-4 1776 who conducted an amphibious assault in the Bahamas of British installations.
This is a big project and we encourage our members to add their support as well. Although this is in Florida it is one of the rare opportunities we have to be a part of unrecognized battle of the Revolutionary War. A number of California SAR members are planning on attending the ceremony.
Full disclosure, our President’s brother-in-law is part of this project.
